Sorry if you don't like that, but the straw is getting too deep on this camel's back.

I don't think anyone with even casual access to this list could think you anything other than fully committed to TAG. I've tried to let everyone here know, most especially you because you're so busy, that I know we all have scant/little time for anything. I had hoped I was clear enough that it was the impression of the general public and a good portion of the membership that membership in the AGA is just a subscription to TAG and the option of attending a conference once a year or so. I guess I wasn't communicating clearly enough, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. One post, once a week as long or as short as you want it to be. Let the people see your names there so **that they feel that the AGA** really is behind this and is trying to support them on a day-to-day basis, not just once a quarter. Please remember too, that some people on APC haven't exactly welcomed me. Clearly there is a contingent that doesn't approve of my judging, and has taken pains to bash it whenever possible.I know that all too well and I'm sorry for that if there were something other than what I do do about it I would. I can't say it would be easy for me either to make an effort were folks are publicly critical of me either. The biggest problem with AGA is not this core group who works SO hard for the organization. It is the many who DON'T do anything but pay their dues (or not) and complain about the "service".I fully agree, which is one of the big reasons why I chose to pursue our involvement in an internet forum. Like it or not, a significant portion of active/serious aquatic plant hobbyists are of the "internet generation" as Larry said. This is their medium and if we're to get to our current membership in order to retain them or to get new members we have to go to them. Most folks I've talked to think TAG is just a couple of articles surrounding an Amano article and is basically usless. Yes, it's up to them to improve it, but motivating someone to improve something they see no real use for is next to impossible. Showing these people that the AGA is more than TAG is what this current involvement is all about.Best, Phil _______________________________________________ AGA-mcm mailing list AGA-mcm@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/aga-mcm
