George doesn't go looking for trouble, but he doesn't suffer fools lightly, 
and can be a little, shall we say, blunt.  I always liked his style, but 
there were those who regularly took exception. (James Purchase, among 
others) Steve, OTOH, always thought of himself as (at least) George's equal, 
and would start these long winded exchanges.  George would start off being 
blunt, (which Steve wouldn't notice) then get nastier, (which Steve STILL 
often didn't notice) and then get sulky and go silent for a while.<g>
