Re: [AGA-mcm] FW Impressions

I hadn't been to FW in a couple of decades and previusly I
had only been to the suburban area.

FW is one of the nicest urban places I've seen in a long
time -- a cross between a small urban zone and small '30s"
town in appearance. And the folks were just plain nice to
you walking down the street. You didn't need a conventon
tag for folks to wave or say high as they walked past. For
contrast, in NY, people say, "get the ---- out of my way,
when they walk past -- unless they are busy spitting, in
which case you had best get out of their way!"

Early morning and late evening, the weather was tolerable.
And although we were down in the convention center part of
old downtown FW, populated mostly with restaurants and
bars, it was still a very pleasant place to stroll around.
ONce they fix the weather there, it will be top notch!
