This is what Kathy did (and why we had the lots of extra copies sent).
Worked pretty well, when combined with phone follow-ups.
Do you want to work with Erin on starting this, Cheryl?
I'd also suggest e-mailing Kathy personally -- she doesn't read these
lists regularly because they go to a separate mailbox she can ignore when
busy (which is most of the time).

I have been compiling a new list of companies that might advertise in TAG.
There's about 100 addresses on it. I would like to send a letter, rate sheet,
and a sample magazine to each one.
TAGs cost $3 to produce, and a TAG, envelope, and tw sheets of paper would
cost $1.11 to mail. I already have the envelopes, so total cost would be
$411.
I could send 30 or so of the last three issues without draining our inventory
much. I really believe the sample magazine is important so they can see how
great it is. Also so they can see who is already advertising; we have some
big names they might want to compete with.
What say you?
Does anyone have any old vendor/advertiser lists so I can cross-check? I
thought I had one from 2003, but I don't.
Cheryl
