Thanks Erik, I hereby accept the keys and promise to do my best not to wreck the car ;-). I woFor my first official corrsepondence as the new AGA President, I would like to thank you for all you have done for the AGA these last six plus (?) years. For the benefit of those members who have not been around since then, Erik and the AGA Board have overseen a dramatic increase in the AGA membership, and what is even more impressive the increase in membership "value add". Just to name a few things that have happened, let's see..... ummm how about a world class full color publication, a National Conference for Planted Aquarium folks, an International Aquascaping Contest, a Forum on our web site, our 403B tax exempt status, and of course organizational financial stability. Erik's socratic leadership and decision making skills have been instrumental in each of these achievements. The amount of time and effort he has put into the AGA is remarkable. The only good thing about the end of his term is that it is not signaling the end of his involvement in the AGA. He will continue to be active as a Board member and of course as the official AGA videographer ;-). As a new member to the AGA Board and now your new President I will do my best to follow a very tough act. Like a singer in Vegas trying to follow Sinatra ;-).
