Looking at the list of names of people who we know can/will speak it does seem like a broken record, I agree 100%. I think there comes a point where we've said just about everything we can say about plants without repeating ourselves. Maybe adding a plant-related topic, such as a talk on discus or dwarf, plant-friendly cichlids would be a good thing to liven up the usual plant stuff. Hearing a talk on the care and breeding of shrimp would be cool too.

Scott, I missed the list of stuff. This is my thesis year so I can't commit to a major task, DON'T LET ME!, but am happy to help out here and there with auxillary things. If we get Atlanta, well, I'll have no excuse in the world not to be there and will be happy to help with the sales table. :D

Oh, one more thing I just remembered. MACNA's in Atlanta next year too and I hear they're having their banquet in the aquarium next to the big reef. Not the best place for a talk, but it seems to me that Home Depot, I mean, the aquarium folks are willing to work with groups of water-minded folk.

Whaaat? You kiddin'? Something you can helpt with? You bet! There's lots you can help with. We need someone to push a rock up a hill everyday and then it rolls back down . . . no wait, that's an diff list. Did you catch the roughly drafted task list I posted yesterday? Anything on there strike your fancy?

As for scapers and styles -- I wouldn't mind an iron aquascaper between Amano and quais-Dutch style -- lol just kiddin' but I think diff styles would be nice to emphasize.

Discus? Never heard of those? Are they rosettes or stem plants? ;-)

Hey folks,

Con planning time again? Yikes! Is there anything I can help with? I'm feeling refreshed and able to handle some things here and there.

I'd really like to see someone able to do an informative discussion of the Dutch/German style. Amano's always a great draw and I'm sure his talk has changed in the past four years. I'd like to see something a little different though too.

Ken Davis still lives down thataway and I'm sure could give a great talk on his trips around the world collecting/buying cichlids(mostly Discus). The last time I saw one it was good and awful funny to boot.
