Correct me if I am worng. The way it works now is that folks who can't/won't use paypal mail in checks to the Bookstore. The Bookstore periodcially mails the checks along with any receipts for reimbursable expenses to me. I usually can issue a reimbursement check the day I receive the package and it takes about a week to arrive.

If customers mail checks directly to me, then Jen won't know that a check has been received until I notify her. I don't have a problem with doing that but we run an extra risk there there will be a delay in product delivery. If those checks go directly to Jenn, then we instead run an extra risk that there will be a delay in the checks being deposited. Which risk would we prefer? I think the latter since it is least likely to affect customer service. I think the bulk of purchases are paid via Paypal.
