Re: [AGA-mcm] AGA-mcm Digest, Vol 41, Issue 5

Don't worry, bumps we do well -- lots of excperience -- smooth sailing can frighten us because it's unfamiliar.

Yes, you can mail out orders when you get payment (including amounts for foreign mailing), even if it's just a check.  It's a very rare ocassion for us to get a bum check -- like maybe one every couple of years or three.

You can wait until you have a handfull checks and then mail the checks to me. How often is up to you. If you mail too often you'll drive yourself nuts. If only mail every few months, customers will be waiting for their checks to clear and start thinking something's wrong. About once a month will probably be fine but you don't have to stick to a scheduled every 4 weeks. You'll probably want to submit your receipts for reimbursement at the same time to save on mailings.

So if I get a mail order with a check, I should mail out the order and
send the check along to Scott, right?  Sounds easy enough.  And I'm
glad to be here!  Hopefully I can get this all set up without too many
bumps in the road :)

The Bookstore periodcially mails the checks along with any receipts for reimbursable expenses to me. I usually can issue a reimbursement check the day I receive the package and it takes about a week to arrive.

I don't have a problem with doing that but we run an extra risk there there will be a delay in product delivery. If those checks go directly to Jenn, then we instead run an extra risk that there will be a delay in the checks being deposited. Which risk would we prefer? I think the latter since it is least likely to affect customer service. I think the bulk of purchases are paid via Paypal.
