Seeing as we're having a conference in Atlanta this year I thought it would be a good idea for me to get a job and move there. Ok, so I didn't really do it for the conference, but, after 5 years of getting schooled it turns out I'm good for something. :D I'll be working at a terrestrial and wetland ecologist for an environmental firm in Smyrna, which is just to the Northwest of Atlanta proper. I'll be doing a lot of habitat and species assessments along with wetland delineation work. Thank the AGA, when I told him I had some good non-academic experience with aquatic plants the boss' eyes lit up. Hurrah for growing noxious weeds in glass boxes! Once things get settled down and I've adjusted to my new schedule I'll be happy to help out with local leg work if there isn't someone doing that already. Also, Cheryl, could I ask the huge favor of getting some contacts of our members in that area? There's a light at the end of University Tunnel and it's an 8000K 150w HQI.
