The board is all on this list, so maybe they can give me an idea of a spending allowance... I was thinking maybe in the vicinity of $20? There are 6 speakers, but we can skip me to keep costs down.<g> I know at Christmas time, the Costco near us has lovely gift baskets of non-refrigerated consumables, and they are fairly inexpensive. That would be perfect if they have them available early enough. I’ll make thank you cards to go with each one. I can either send them to you ahead of time, or we can attach them when I arrive, assuming I get there before the other speakers.

That all sounds doable, thank the stars for Costco memberships and Home Depot. How many speakers are we going to have, and would you like to put a price cap on the welcome gifts?

Yes, there will be several “local” things we will need for Amano. Here’s the list Yoshinori made for us:

Buckets (2pc 20 Liter and 3pc 10 Liter)

Hose (Please let me know outside and inside dimention)

Atomist Spray

Newspaper ( old one is OK)

Extention Cord

Plastic Sheet ( to avoid getting wet on the floor)

Could you get those things together? Also, Yoshinori didn’t mention it, but I remember that last time he wanted a wide diffuser end for the hose. So if you could hunt up one of those it would be great too.

The other thing I need help with is that I’d like to have a welcome basket for each speaker, perhaps with fruit and/or crackers and cheeses that don’t require refrigeration. The baskets should be small, because they are just a welcome, and something to snack on in their rooms. They probably wouldn’t want to transport them home. My guess is that any good local supermarket could put them together for us. If you would be willing to handle that too, it would be awesome.

I’m still not sure when Amano is arriving. Until I do, I won’t know for sure when I need to be there. Everyone else seems to be arriving on Thursday, so I hope that’s what he decides to do too. If not, I may be conscripting you to help me entertain him until everyone else gets there! (better get those tanks full of water!<g>)

We're almost at the 2 month to go mark. Is there anything local that needs doing?

When do y'all anticipate getting in town? I don't want to miss a minute of the action... I didn't realize how much I missed having plant people around until I started getting revved up for this convention. Now I'm jonesing pretty bad. :D
