If we expect it to produce for the next, say, 3 years, that's the period we would
"amortize" the
costs over. Of course, we actually do cash basis accounting but in terms of the
merit of hte
purchase, the longer term would be relevent.
Do you thing the burners will subjstantially improve in the next year or so the
way dual-layer
DVD burners did?

Just as I was freaking out over having to use a standard-def camcorder for
the third camera, the two computers rendering all the footage in tandem
say you're right on this last point. But I can't insist the AGA pay for
the equipment, because it's most likely a loss this year.
