Re: [AGA-mcm] Fw: Footage/Images of Iron Aquascaper

Very well stated Phil, on both paragraphs. I suspect that from the standpoint of good TV, it would be more interesting to have someone aquascape an aquarium in the home, returning a few times a couple weeks and months later to show the aweseomeness that ultimately results. (I've stated before that I wanted to do a video series like this at one point... more akin to "extreme fishroom makeover" than iron chef.)

Why don't we send her stills of the final products and see what she thinks?  If
it's something they're truly interested in then it might be worth
our while to deal with submittal.  If not, it's just a couple minutes of time
spent sending an email.

As for planted aquaria being extreme homes, for us they're regular and normal.
For a lot of people out there who aren't used to anything but wood
and plastic plants visual impact and idea of keeping of a fully planted aquarium is
pretty extreme.  To someone uniniated into the hobby it would
be easy to equate a full-on aquatic garden with a 300 square foot dog mansion.  If we
decide to participate in the show it would be a good way
to get people aware of the organization so we can show them how easy it really is to have
such an "extreme"(ly beautiful) aquarium in their home
too.

that is why they are surfing the internet. But why should we care.

they will use it or even if they do who knows what will remain after
editing. The bottom line is do we want to see or just cut bait. I am game for
either.
