Erik, yes, I agree completely about FAN in particular, but without looking at
the list I am
unsure of the criteria we might use to eliminate other companies. Plant-only
companies?
Wholesale only companies? Is that what you mean? I don't mean to be dense here.
I just turned in
TAG and as usual it takes awhile for the brain fog to clear.
Bailin, thanks. Sounds good. You're right, we need to get organized here. FYI,
some of the
personal contacts that I had were because of current or past advertising with
TAG. That's how we
got a ZooMed ad in the 2008 convention program, for example. No reason that
information
shouldn't be in the master list, for crying out loud.
How about you send Erik the list you have now, let him sanitize it and send it
on. I don't think
we need to maintain separate lists for other folks.
Phil may have some input here as well because he is the official AGA Chief
Moocher.

Hi Erik,
I think I have the most recent list of vendors, but it wasn't complete
and had a lot
of holes. As I recall, I wanted to take this time in between conventions
to revise
the list and put contacts in that we might not have and remove others
that we don't
think are approachable anymore. Cheryl had names of people who she was
in contact
with at the various vendors like Zoomed and FAN and I didn't have those
names.
Emails to just a general location didn't get many responses this year,
but I know
that others had person contact with vendors that got much better
responses.
Let me dig through my computer to see if I can locate the most recent
list and maybe
we can start the revision process now. I'd be happy to keep track of
it. As
another thought, there are stores in each state that might be willing to
make small
contributions to the AGA, but there is no way for us to keep track of
them. Perhaps
we can put an email out the members of AGA to contact their stores and
approach them
about future support? We can get names of the stores, owners, and the
AGA point of
contact onto a master list before the next convention. Thoughts?
