Good day Cheryl,

My name is Oriol Pascual, from Barcelona in Spain. I am a member of AGA
since some years and I have to say that I am extremely happy to be one.

We detected a great interest in spanish speaking countries for the goals of
your organization, but the limitation of language is the main point. So we
decided to start something similar to your association. We called our
non-profit organization "FIAAD" (Federación Ibero-Americana de AcuaDiseño)
that comes from "Ibero-american aqua-design federation", and we adopted the
same goals as AGA has. There are a lot of hobbyst joining our project, some
of them very well know in the aquascaping iberic and latinamerican world.

We started with a web site and a forum (www.fiaad.com), which is the easiest
part, and now working on other projects, like meetings, conferences, plant
auctions, etc., and my responsability will be to start with a new paper
journal (with the idea to offer similar information as the TAG is offering).

This is the reason for my contact, because we would like to use, if at all
possible, some of the most interesting articles you published in the past
years, to translate them to spanish and portuguese (the two official
languages of the federation), and I learned from the TAG that the
reproduction of articles of the journal may be authorized from your side in
certain circumstances, and I would like to know which steps we need to take
to ask for it.

At the same time I wonder if the AGA may be interested in to cooperate with
our newly-created organization, to help us on the most difficult
organizational steps to succeed. We are actif, full of energy and extremely
interested into learn how to rule a complicated association like this.
