The forums I'm on have newer versions than ours and you are able to subscribe to the sections.  When you do, you get an email when there is a new post on those sections or you can elect to get a summary mailed to you daily of new and updated topics.  I rarely go directly and log into any forum where I'm a member.  I just check the emails I get and follow the link back to the conversation or look at the summaries and pick and choose what I am interested in.  Every night I get 3 emails from Aquatic Plant Central if there is a new post or an update in the Crypts, DFWAPC, or  NASH sections.  Otherwise, I almost never go to APC.

I was just looking at our forum.  It will let you subscribe to a single post, but not an entire section of the forum.  Can we upgrade our forum to a version that does this and encourage members to subscribe to the various topics?
