Re: [AGA Member] re: intro bandwagon, Charlene Nash in SF

Hi Everyone,

Well, I just noticed this list and joined up. My name is Bailin Shaw and I'm a member and one of the founding members of the Dallas-Fort Worth Aquatic Plant Club. I'm excited and proud about the fact our club is hosting this year's AGA convention only two years after we were formed. In addition to having many in state members, we also have a large number of out-of-state members that interact on our email list. For only a small $5 membership fee, why not right?

Anyways, I keep 4 planted tanks of various sizes and plan on starting up another 3 tanks. The tanks house various rare african tetras, pencilfish, splash tetras, and killis. I also raise and spawn dwarf cichlids of various types in these tanks. Most are high tech tanks, but some are also low tech with yeast CO2, lower light levels, and minimal fertilization. Fun tanks which still produce a good amount of clippings for the local stores.

I'm glad I finally became a member of the AGA and would like to know how I can help out more. Aside from helping with the AGA convention, I'd like to get more involved.

Enough for now.

Hi Erik,

I'm the whole other side of the country, (west of Boston) but thanks for
thinking of me! I'm glad to hear that the SFAS and the area "plant people"
are getting back together again. I don't think it's good for the hobby when
we splinter too much.

Say "Hi" to Charlene for me. You'll enjoy her presentation!

Karen
