Ahhh, green water i'm almost an expert on this by now. Sence it attaked my 
planted 30 gallon when it was newly put up for the longest time. The reason is 
(almost for sure) the light.Take it down to 10 hours a day maybe throw a 
blanket over it, if you are adding co2 keeping adding it. also you will want to 
check the nutrients levels in the water along with phosphates make sure they arn't 
to high.
