Aviel,

Dr. Morin of Seachem had some correspondence on the AP mailing list about
gluconate vs. EDTA.  I believe they use gluconate in Flourish, and they feel
it is superior to EDTA.  See:

You can also search their database with "Morin prime flourish" and get more
e-mail on the subject.

Here in USA we use Greenlight Stump remover, which is KNO3.
