[AGA Member] nutrition Test kits.....

Assuming one does maintain a healthy planted tank, say a well balanced system regarding lights, CO2 and all other parameters that can fit in here.... outcome is that the plants are growing well and are thriving!!
Assumuming also that one should hardly detect any nutrition deficiency signs on the plants -> they are doing well. Is there a way to  measure any nutrition deficiency ??? (And not only by detecting the signs on plants)
I know that there are several calculators that might indicate over dosing and viceversa but does anyone knows a more reliable way for this or there is no such thing and one should rely on the actual results  ???
