RE: [AGA-Member] disinfecting wild aquarium plants

PP is used in iron filters and is a different substance than the product
known as Iron Out. You can get it at almost any water treatement business, I
believe Lowes and Home Depot sell it as well, I get mine at Menard's. Been
going on the same bottle for almost two years now, cost around $5.00. You
can also use it as an oxidizer to "shock" aquariums and ponds, but that's
another story with it's own inherent nightmares and pitfalls

You can also buy it in solution under the name "Had A Snail".

The last time I got a bottle, I purchased it from Sears in the water
softener section. I believe it's used to remove iron deposits in pipes and
is often known as iron out.
