I have been poking around a couple forums today (aquaticplantcentral.com 
and plantedtank.net) and am a little bummed to find NO announcements of 
the convention at all.  The closest I found was one arbitrary "are you 
going to the AGA convention?" post, which I have replied to.

A lot of people just don't know this convention is happening.

You, the AGA membership, can really help here:  Post an announcement on 
those forums and lists you frequent.  Put a banner on your website.  Post 
in local club forums and mailing lists, especially on the west coast. 
It'll probably be a while before we have another convention on this coast. 
My spouse was poking around on the airline websites and found some cheap 
fares to San Francisco and Oakland.

Especially, get the word out that the hotel rooms need to be booked by 
September 9th (a little over a week away!) to get the special AGA group 
rate.
