You know, after reading Neil's questions about publishing schedule, I
wondered myself if maybe this could be solved by merging the next two
TAG's into a double issue and slipping the deadline a few weeks to the
holidays. This would accomplish a number of things, not the least of which
would be "scooping" PAM, avoiding the current editorial crunch trying to
get the thing out to her layout assistant who leaves for France tomorrow,
AND getting Q1 TAG out way before she leaves for the Amazon.  She will
have a lot of material very soon, once the judging is over.

But Kathy (who called Mary up yesterday) thinks that Mary's got the whole
issue in the can and would not be happy pulling back and re-editing at
this point.  I suppose we could ask.
