RE: Burnout

I think this is a great idea -- John Glaeser would, I am sure, help out.
I vote that we let Karen go ahead and put something together.

I had another good idea in bed last night that came back to me when I read
this!<g> What about contacting some of the new local "plant groups" that
are forming and recruiting there? These folks might be thrilled to help out
with a national organization. We really might be better off with close to a
clean sweep at this point. The only one I haven't HEARD complaining about
burn-out is David, and I suspect he's being nice.<g>

The other thing I liked about the idea is that it would take some of the
pressure off David and me in terms of the Mary situation. (somehow David
seems to be able to avoid these problems more than I do) We have to live
with the consequences of any decision made to change editors because we all
share the same back yard. People with more geographical distance are also
likely to have more emotional distance.

I'm willing to write the first draft of a letter to these clubs if you all
agree. I think it would be good to strike fast, while enthusiasm is still
high in these groups. I'd also LOVE to see them involved in AGA in a more
meaningful way than they are now. We just don't have the structure as yet.

Karen
