Message to James Purchase

Hi there again... thought I would update you guys on the James situation.
A few weeks back, Charlene e-mailed and asked me to ask James to call her 
so they could work out sponsors for the showcase and convention.
He made a bit of a stink, insisting that e-mail was better, so I gave him
Charlene's e-mail address.

Charlene e-mailed me today and told me he still hasn't contacted her. I
have basically given James an ultimatum (see below).  I will keep you
updated on the progress.  Hopefully, you will have no problem with this
approach, as I heard no feedback (positive or negative) about it last time
I posted this subject here.

Hello James,

I realize you are sick and have been through a lot this year, and so I
have been very patient, waiting for many months, offering you several
chances to back out of the showcase or get moving. I have tried
to be polite about it.  But we are PAST deadlines.  Magazines need to be
notified, volunteers need to be brought in.  Mary McCaw was ready to print
this quarter's TAG, and I had to tell her "we can't print anything.  I
just don't know."

Having not heard a peep out of you in three weeks about the new contest
(and apparently, neither has Charlene), I am sorry, but enough is enough.  
If you don't seriously start on it by this weekend, I will ask the
steering committee to allow me to take over this project without your
consent.  It's either that or it just won't happen.  I am sorry.
