Last year they were printed as a separate "letter size" insert that was folded but not stapled into TAG. This year I have gone through a lot of work to reduce James' 9-page 8.5x11" monstrousity to a smaller 4-page 8.5"x5.5" brochure that can be included inside TAG and stapled. Mary's printing of the results was rather bizarre, what with all the whitespace and all. She's sort of right about the whole "dpi" thing, but sort of wrong (and I'm not going to go through THAT again!). Note that Dave Gomberg was able to print Frode Roe's winning entry at a larger size in PAM recently, but it looks all out of focus. This is what happens when we print a picture that has too low a resolution (more realistically, what ends up happening is that it looks pixelated). I was OK with the sizes of the prints, but I would have preferred to see them layed-out with less whitespace as well. We could have saved at least 1/3 of the pages this way. But you also have to understand that James was very "clinical" about printing the results, rather than trying to make something eye-catching. So to him, everything needed to be shown in order of place and category. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe aga-sc" in the body of the message.
