I hope my note wasn't too abrupt, but I really
truly feel that she has to think of the needs of the organization.
Sometimes she gets so tunnel visioned in her quest to produce a good magazine,
that she loses sight of what the purpose of the nmagazine is.
Erik's response to her may have been annoyed
sounding, but I can't see that I blame him, considering how long ago he
originally got the information to her. I think I would have been ticked
too if I got this last minute demand while I was on vacation. If Erik
weren't keeping up with what's going on via E-mail while he's away, (something
that I can't and don't want to do) it sounds like she just would have bagged the
contest information and sent this issue off without it. IMO, that's not
acceptable.
You and I have the most to lose if things do blow
up with Mary, as she's a member of our local club. OTOH, I don't really
see how to avoid it. She's ticked at Erik, Neil and Dave G. (who has bent
over backward to help AGA from what I've seen... wait till you see his editorial
in the next PAM) Dorothy hasn't drawn fire because she and Mary don't have
much contact.
You and I spend our time either trying to run
interference or run for cover.<g>
