Hi guys, I had a good conversation with Dave this morning (he was still wondering when we are going to send him labels for the "Free PAM" deal). He is definitely warm to the idea of providing PAM to AGA members (almost as if he'd already thought it over). He thinks it's good to have some (unspecified) number of pages for AGA business/news/announcements; he suggested even keeping the TAG name for that portion. He also suggested one possible approach for membership would be "co-benefit", i.e. though PAM the magazine and AGA are separate entities, there would essentially be only one subscription/membership, and the person would receive both benefits. We would just have to work out how much of the money goes to AGA and how much to PAM. Here is a question for David (Lass): do we have any sort of operating budget per year? What would we need or expect from our members if TAG were removed from the picture? If essentially $15 of the member year went towards PAM, would $5 per member year be appropriate to support the organization? I wonder if our members would be OK with the $5 dues hike. So far, so good... - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe aga-sc" in the body of the message.
