Like Erik, I am concerned about getting the large number of PAMs. I am
definitely not confident that we will be able to sell 3,000 extra PAMS.
Even though we have the money in the treasury, I do not support making this
$6K investment. This is in addition to a loss of AGA dues income of at
least $1K because of the arrangement to extend memberships.

Let's review the original Nov 19 motion:

"I move that David (thanks David) act on behalf of the SC and in the best
interests of AGA to acquire back issues of PAM as follows:

acquire a number of issues of PAM in exchange for AGA memberships for all
PAM subscribers who
are not currently AGA members (3 month AGA membership for each 3 month
unexpired subscription to PAM, non-AGA members only); to purchase
additional copies of PAM, up to a total number of 2000 inclusive of the
exchange copies, for a per issue price not to exceed $2 and that they
consist of as many SETS as possible (i.e. we get all of his limited supply
issue no. 2); and for the remainder of available back issues of PAM, if
there are any, negotiate their demise (e.g. AGA gets them on consignment
for long term storage and sale, also at a per issue price not to exceed
$2). Then, if Dave does not agree, we walk.
