OK, as I explained earlier, I goofed. I accidentally added 3 issues to every member I imported from Jack's spreadsheet (and thus 6 extra issues to the duplicate PAM entries that I later merged). I have corrected this on the database & will share the results here... Actually Jack goofed too, because he used this system where he keyed off everyone's membership being good until a particular issue, i.e. "1504" meant that the last issue was Volume 15, Number 4. Except, of course, that there IS no volume 15, Number 4. And frankly, there wasn't really a volume 14, number 4 either (but that's in the past -- and one could argue that all the semi-color issues in the past were labeled as double issues). I think he got around these problems by just not expiring people all year, or expiring people that were over a year out of date. I have adjusted everything so that people who were set to expire with volume 16, Number 1 are actually getting Volume 16, Number 2. And in the new system, we are using an approach of "Remaining Issues" rather than volume number. Here is the CORRECTED membership breakdown, by issues remaining +-----------------+----------+ | RemainingIssues | COUNT(*) | +-----------------+----------+ | 1 | 211 | (Last issue will be Jan-Mar 2003) | 2 | 33 | | 3 | 153 | | 4 | 77 | | 5 | 54 | Jan-Mar 2004 | 6 | 25 | | 7 | 54 | | 8 | 13 | | 9 | 28 | Jan-Mar 2005 | 10 | 12 | | 11 | 12 | | 12 | 5 | | 13 | 5 | Jan-Mar 2006 | 14 | 1 | | 16 | 2 | | 17 | 1 | | 18 | 4 | | 23 | 1 | | 26 | 1 | | 29 | 1 | +-----------------+----------+ Those 3 guys with more than 18 remaining issues are Steve Dixon, Louis Blossom and AJ Schornack, if you're interested. I'll bet Dave gave them Life PAM subscriptions or something. Anyway, what this means is that some 200+ AGA members are actually expiring or expired already. I'm assuming they're getting the current v15 #3 issue (though I don't know what StepDirect got). I propose that we send them the volume 16 #1 issue, which will prominently feature our new website easy-renewal process, but expire them at that point.
