Opinions? (On whether to offer multiple-issue subscriptions to a club, not the technical aspects) - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 06 Jan 2003 09:10:28 -0600 From: Cheryl Rogers--AGA Membership <cheryl@wilstream.com> To: Erik Olson <erik@thekrib.com> Subject: Multiple-issue TAG Subscriptions Hi Erik, Is there any way to create multiple-issue subscriptions for the database? Jack forwarded me some correspondance about an aquatic plants club library subscription of 4 issues. I am thinking that our deal with the mailing company is one copy per envelope because they do it on a machine. So I probably need to keep these multiple-issue subscriptions on a separate list. Right? I like this idea and I think it is something we should encourage, even if it is more record-keeping work. Can we offer clubs a deal (10% discount) for 3 issues or more, or something? The catch could be that they get no refunds if the club folds, but they can donate their subscription to another club, college/university, or local library. This is something we probably don't want to include in the General Public Shopping Cart, or folks will lie to us. We could mention something on the web site that plant clubs or libraries can contact me about multiple-issue subscription discounts.
