Re: Aquatic Plant Books

First time I've heard about it. We can afford the $500 - sepcially if we start getting paid for other ads.
I vote YES.

Hi Diana,

I don't think the BOD ever got your message about that Singapore catalog.  I am assuming this is the "Oriental Aquarium" catalog?  I certainly don't remember seeing it.

I'm so glad that they have contacted you!  Claus brought me a copy of the catalog at the convention, and I'd been meaning to try to track down a contact for it.  But between family life and TAG, I hadn't gotten around to it.  I definitely think it is worth offering to our members.  I think it's a big improvement on the old one, and the old one was worth-while.

I would suggest that we keep offering the Tropica catalog, and ad the Oriental catalog back into the line-up.

As you can see, I've cc'd the BOD, so we can get an answer from everyone on this.  David will have to tell us what we can afford!

Thanks for the kind words on the magazine, I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Dear Karen,
Recently, I saw a copy of the Singapore catalog.  I thought it was very nice- real photos of plants and not a bad price.  I've got a few months worth of the Tropica catalog left and will need to order more of it or get something else (or get both).
If the AGA has the money, I'd like to order 50 copies of the Singapore catalog.  I'd suggest that we offer Hua $500 (see her letter below) plus shipping costs.  I think that we could sell it for $20-25.  If she says yes fine, if not we can pay Dave $8.50 for more Tropica catalogs.
Hope you are doing well.  The TAG magazine looks great!

Dear Hai,
I got no response to letting AGA officers know about your book.  It could be that the AGA has spent all their money on other projects.
Sorry.  Please feel free to contact other members of the organization.
