Hello Dorothy, Sorry I haven't posted more! Dallas has accepted the challenge, and Christel Kasselman has sort of accepted if we could move the date the weekend of November 14th. We're waiting for a final confirmation from her, but since Karen's out this week and she'll probably e-mail back Karen rather than the rest of us, we'll be waiting until Monday. That's probably also OK as Larry Lampert, the Dallas contact, is in final negotiations with the hotel getting us a good deal. The hotel itself is a beautiful Marriott (rather than the holiday inn that was the first idea), and the deal is very sweet. It looks financially sound, and my personal opinion is that they're going to make money. There's going to be collecting trip. They want me to do a talk on the history and present of the AGA Friday night (so I'm going to have to dig through the books, maybe interview some of the AAGA guys like Dick van Hyfte, and dig some things from your & Neil's brains). I'm actually pretty excited about the prospect of the whole event, and I must say I've not been EXCITED about the convention since the first one. We're hoping to have this announced in this issue of TAG. Boy I'm hoping we can. - Erik On Fri, 25 Apr 2003, Dorothy Reimer wrote: > Hello All > Have not heard any more about the convention.
