Hi Dorothy,

Thanks for the note -- I am interested in hearing about the "way back" 
history!

The convention is, unfortunately, going to be November 14th.  Christel
Kasselmann couldn't make it on the 7th, and she is our keynote speaker, so
we moved up back one week. We didn't want to have it on Halloween.  It
will be too bad if you cannot make it.  I was hoping to convince the
Dallas folks to have you as one of the speakers!  I understand, though.

The weather here is nice today, which is too bad because I spent nearly 
the whole day cooped up in the lab.
