Dear Erik,

I am an Editor at DK Publishing working on a revised edition of our "A-Z
Encyclopedia of Garden Plants," which we publish with the American
Horticultural Society. I wonder whether you might be able to help me. I'm
looking for a aquatic plants expert to help us update the information in the
Encyclopedia on aquatic plants.This would involve advising us on which
plants - genera, species, or cultivars - should be added for the new
edition, and which should be deleted to make space for the additions. We
would then need brief information (identification info, natural habitat,
common name etc.) for each new plant.
I wondered whether you might consider taking the project on yourself, or
failing that, whether you might be able to put me in touch with someone else
who might be interested. In return we would credit the contributor in the
book and also send them/the association a new edition of the Encyclopedia
when it is published in Autumn '04. Please email me at this address, or call
