I agree completely.
To make it clear WHY, we could always mention again that TAG comtinuing in
color hinges on us increasing membership, and this would be a way they could
get a nice gift for a lvoed one AND do their part to help AGA.

Subject: Re: Bookstore Holiday Combo/Membership thingy
I don't think it is appropriate to use for renewals. It should be
only for new memberships. Hence the wording as a newbie gift/promo. I am
conscious that though any new memberships are "just mailing", I would hate
to lose income from people who would have renewed anyway.
Any other opinions?

Yes. Will we allow current members to extend their memberships and buy

OK, I've tried to integrate both the suggestions by the board for a
"discount membership" to get new people involved, and by Diana of how
to
handle the dump from Mary:
"Holiday Beginner Membership Gift Pack! For a limited time, give that
friend, loved one, or recent convert to aquatic gardening, the extreme
introduction! Includes all six (remaining) issues of Planted Aquaria,
a
sampler of four color and three recently unearthed vintage black and
white
TAG, and a new one-year AGA membership. All for only $60!"
If this seems cool, I'll change the bookstore page to reflect this.
