I have been attributing our laptop failures to the rough
treatment the cops give them -- lots of broken screens,
cracked cases, etc.  So maybe I've been missing the faulty
boards.

They cost twice as much as you repalce them 3 times as
often. Little buggers they are. If they weren't so darned
handy. . .
