I'm missing something here -- Dallas was $64 +35=99 -- The Banquet price was set by the Hotel and the Reg price was then set by Larry to total just under $100 -- If the Banquet cost $40 each, the reg price would have been set at $59, and so on. Larry thought that most attendees would purchase the Banquet along with the reg and count both costs together and he thought it was important that the number be less than $100. That was strictly a marketing decision and the rest of the budget was worked around that the assumed number of minimum attendees based on the number he had been told for 2002, which, of course turned out to be inflated. This 2004 proposal for reg and Banq is only $10 than for 2003 but the Hotel is $20 higher on average, assuming an average of 1 roomnight per attendee, which approximates last year's average per attendee. My concern wasn't whether Amano is worth $200. I'd pay it. My concern was the total cost for those more discriminating with their funds, due to tastes or finances or both. 2002 Convention included a boatload of meals, didn't it. In Dallas you might have got a beer or soda if your were lucky. With Amano in 2001, did AGA feed the attendees? sh --- Kathy Olson <kathy@thekrib.com> wrote: > Hi, > > Erik checked the 2002 Banquest cost, extra tickets were > $42, and the > registration for Amano that year was $125 and that > included the > registration/banquest/TennesseeAq > > This year registration was $64, and banquet was $35.
