[AGA SC] RE Neil's comments

I just got home and read Neil's comments and sent them to
Rick without mentioning who made the comments.

He repied immediately and I submit the following info:

Do any of the hotel deals under consideration include a
nice hospitality room. 

The Sheraton has an extra room that we could use.  We have
also planned for  a 1700 sq room for vendors with tables in
the middle.  It will serve as a gathering place and a place
for the vendors to hold workshops.  The other hotels had
room available but might want to charge for it.


We would have the run of the hotel at the Sheraton.  There
is a decent amount of lobby space with seating and tables. 
The one bad point is that the vendor room is around he
corner from the ballroom (Ray Lucas will just hate that ;-)
).  Hence the reason for serving food and beverages in the
vendor room.  Also, this will help increase the exposure
for the vendors, of which they hadn't much in Dallas. We
hope that a vendor may sponsor some of the snacks.

RE Harbor hotels : Some had shuttles.  But none that had
shuttles had any available meeting space.  The space is
reserved a year ahead of time.  They seemed considerably
more expensive, anyway.  We may want the next convention to
start looking for a hotel in Sept or Oct of the prior year!


RE eating choices. The Sheraton is not the cheapest on food
-- and the Marriot probalby has the best reputation on
food.  The Best Western is considerably cheaper for food,
but the quality may not be as good.  I don't think the food
is a deal breaker.  We could arrange for lunch and dinner
at the Inner Harbor for Friday.  That leaves breakfast and
lunch for Sat & Sunday.  And of course the banquet which is
a little pricey, but what can I say.

By arranging is meant arrange for the hotel to provide the
meals but to be purchased by attendees, not by AGA2K4.
