Ray "Kingfish" Lucas has been holding dates in November but his calendar is almost filled for 2004. The second weekend we are considering, Nov 12-14 is still open. If we are definitely going to ask him, we should factor that into the budget. I estimate the costs, for 3 days (which might be one day more than we will need to pay for) at *as much as* $700. The retail value of the goods that are provided to the auction is $2,000 minimum, which ought to bring *as little as* $1,000, not to mention adding some variety to the acutions. At a minimum, I see the arrangement as better than breakeven on a purely financial basis. Ray has been a strong supporter of AGA and one of the key distributors of our brochures. Which reminds me, weren't we going to have them professionally printed in bulk. We ought to send some out to some clubs and Kingfish. sh ===== S.
