Hi Cheryl, With the paypal forms it's downright impossible to add fields. In fact, it's nigh impossible to control the one "extra" field we do get. Sometimes it says "Interests", sometimes it says "Other info". I really wanted to add more fields so we could get the complete membership application form transferred to PayPal. But to get more fields, we'd have to write our own front end on the PayPal system (another set of forms you first fill out, and THEN it takes you to the Paypal site). It's kinda nasty, so I stopped there. As for little banners advertising the AGA, I have no problems with this. Actually did it for the contest site already (see the "Press" page)... How about we just put something on the links page, saying "Got a website? Help spread the word about the AGA by linking to our site. You can use any of the banners and graphics below." We already are encouraging people who have aquatic plant clubs to send us their URL. We could certainly have a members' link area too. - Erik On Tue, 23 Mar 2004, Cheryl Rogers wrote: > Erik, how hard would it be to include another field in the paypal shopping > cart, asking them whether they have a web site? > > Then if they have a web site, we could ask them for a link to the AGA site. > > I could make a few web banners for folks to put up on their sites if they > want.
