I want to use the mailing lists to communicate with members and to generate interest. I would post a message once or twice each month. Here are some ideas regarding message content: -TAG has been mailed--Watch for it! -Did you get the latest TAG? -Index of TAG articles for the previous year. -Sales/discounts available. -The AGA web site has been changed announcements. -Please let us know when and where your local club meets. -Get linked with the AGA! -Aquascaping contest now open. -Convention registration now available. -Do you know of anyone who might be interested in advertising in TAG? and so forth. More ideas? How often is good marketing and how often is intrusive? I *know* that much of this really belongs on the AGA-annnounce list, but no one ever uses it. I think that's because no one ever uses it. :-) Maybe I should make these announcements for awhile on the AGA-member list to get people used to seeing them, and then say that all future announcements will be made on aga-announce, so subscribe thisaway if you want to be notified of cool deals and get involved in the organization. What do y'all think? Comments? Critiques?
