Doesn't have to be...

For NEC, people order shirts along with their registration, and pay on the
form.  So the committee knows exactly what they'll need.  (They give one to
each speaker too)  They print a VERY few extra to sell at the event, but
those are typially gone by mid-day on Sat.  If GWAPA wanted to do something
like that, they could do tote bags.  Then there'd be no overlap with the T
shirt sales.
