Re: [AGA SC] Free T-shirts

Okay, you folks are just waiting for me to suggest Totes
*and* Tshirts, aren't you? And then Non-spill coffee/travel
Mugs, luggage . . .? Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent.
;-)

(My) Cheryl is back from Florida and has given me a
briefing on tote bags, who uses them, and how most that use
them have more than one, etc. I was also given a quick tour
of all the ones she uses -- she uses them one at a time, of
course. Maybe I underestimated the numbers on the tote
board ;-)

Assuming we'd have at least a few seriously miffed early
registrants that get a $10 discount on their reg but maybe
no discount on a tshirt (or tote), well given that, then
then bonus price shirts bundled with registration is
probably not worth the trouble. No one seems to disagree
with this.

But there seems still Board interest in AGA2K4 possibly
selling merchandise independent of price-bundling. As far
as that goes, I think the limits are what GWAPA staff
(order tracking and final delivery), Cheryl (bulk delivery
to GWAPA), Karen (art) and Erik (PayPaladin -- Have code -
Will travel) are willing to do.

So I'd give each of those folks 2 or 3 votes in these
matters.

It might be better if AGA2K4 buys shirts (or bags, or
logo-emblazened Mondavo watches) independently of AGA and
all shipping, inventory management, etc. would be handled
by GWAPA however it sees fit -- although the point-of-sale
transactions might be via the AGA sales web page or an
at-convention cashier, or both.

But they might not have the connections, or there might be
econ of scale ordering through the AGA.

If AGA2K4 sold shirts before the convention and they are
not the same shirts as the AGA shirts, but the GWAPA
possibly orders them through the AGA for any economy of
bulk ordering, then the Shirts get delivered to Rick or his
designee and Ivo tracks the AGA2K4 shirt orders (and sizes)
along with all the rest of AGA2K4 stuff. Cheryl's out of
the picture for the sales and inventory.

If AGA2K4 sold shirts before the convention and they *are*
the same shirts as the AGA shirts, then Cheryl could give
Ivo numbers for the amount of inventory allocated to
AGA2K4. Ivo tracks how many Tshirts (and sisze) are sold
with regs and he makes an one time order from Cheryl,
capped by the amounts of the allocated inventory.

How about a shirt that says, front/back, "I saw Dorothy and
I wasn't in Kansas/I was at AGA Annual Convention 2004."
;-)
