I talked with Kathy last night about this.  My opinion is that we should 
stick to the original guns and close the early-bird thing at 50.  Or 
ASAP, if it's already at 50 (it was at 41 last night before I went to 
bed).  For one thing, saying "the first 50 people all registered in the 
first 2 days" makes it very clear that this is going to be a BIG 
convention, and becomes a great promo vehicle.  I think we've accomplished 
what we set out to do with the early bird program, which was to prove that 
we could pull in enough people to seed the treasaury and show that there 
was interest.  And we will have met half out "minimum" for attendance.  
Which is pretty darn cool.
