Yes, I did judge the ADA contest, but that was over in mid-June.  I was
extra-careful to get done on time, and do a nice, complimentary commentary
to go along with it this year.<g>  But, no, I haven't heard anything else
about his participation in the contest.  This doesn't necessarily mean
anything, though, because the subject just hasn't come up.  I certainly HOPE
the convention committee has been in touch with him, hopefully several times
since then.  I made the initial contact, got him to say, "Yes," and then
turned him over to the committee.  I cc'd them on the correspondence I had,
so I know they know all that.

Does AGA have letters of agreement they send out to speakers?  If not, we
probably should.  If need be, I can probably get a copy of the letter NEC
sends out to speakers.  The letter thanks the speaker for agreeing to speak,
deliniates what expenses will be covered by NEC, and what the speaker is
expected to cover.  It also asks for any special requests, such as a
non-smoking room or a low floor in the hotel, food allergies, etc.  Now
wouldn't be a bad time to start if we're not doing it already.
