Wilma and Dorothy are definitely new, except that we knew about D from our discussions -- well, we were hoping anyway. So really, it's like only Wilma is the new name. Wasn't that easy? ;-)
This is what I was referring to... the workshops.
I think they are thinking about 3-4 talks and three workships (the workships once repeated) so everyone can participate in up to two. Doesn't seem to me like a full roster yet. Anyone else think that way?
I think it will be nice to have the breathing room. The focus groups essentially replace two talks, so that means four "talks" on Saturday, two on Friday night, plus banquet speakers.
In all other conventions except for 2003, ALL the talks, including the banquet, fit on 6 hours of VHS tape. There were always five speakers. It was the nutty Texans that added six focus group presentors to the five speakers.
So I think four main speakers, two of which are "big big names", will be quite good.
