I agree with Erik that repeatedly printing a static list or directory is a waste of our limited paper resources, AND uninteresting to the majority of our members. I think a pointer to the web site for more information on local clubs is a better use of space. But I think a reasonable compromise would be to offer to include the directory at least twice per calendar year, and let Cheryl and me decide on how much space will be used to do that. That way, if we've only got 2 or 3 clubs, we can shoe horn them in somewhere without a dedicated half page. If we've got enough clubs that we actually NEED a half page, the added income should already be supporting a larger page count. Oh, and on the subject of Larry on the BOD, I don;t know him very well, but have heard very little about him that wasn't positive. Would he take on Kathy's "job" of managing advertisers? If so, I would have no reservations about adding him to the BOD. If not, I still have no objections to Larry per se, but have a bit of concern that we've never asked Mike Hellweg. He's a really nice guy, very reasoned and reasonable, and I think would like to be more involved than he has been in his "bit part" as historian. Just a thought that I wanted to run past you all.
