[AGA-sc] An invite to join the new AGA Advisory Committee

Hi folks,

In an effort to improve communications and decision-making process for the AGA, the board just voted to revamp an old e-mail group (the so-called "Management Committee") into a new group (the now-called "Advisory Committee"), and include in this list all the folks running different parts of the AGA. So this would include the various sales, this year's convention, last year's convention, historian, etc. Until last year, most of the big jobs except for book sales have been done by board members (TAG, membership, contest, website, videos), so we just mutated into discussing everything on the board. But it's high time to open this up, and we'd like the three of you to be on this list.

We'll also be including on the list delegates from the AGA "premium local clubs" as they sign up.

One thing of note: As the name suggests, it's not the board, it's just for advising, informing, etc. The board will still be the ones who have to vote on the things that the board has to vote on. This is kind of analogous to the American Cichlid Association's "Cadre" that includes all the workers and bigwig advisors vs. it's board of 6 voting members.

I wanted to warn you guys first and give you the option of backing out :) before I just created the list. Please reply with your thumbs-up if you're OK with it! Oh, and to keep volume down, you will be able to use the digest version of the list.

Thanks,

  - Erik
