Re: [AGA-sc] [Fwd: [AGA-mcm] Dave]

Oh, and cheryl, I don't think you've done anything bad, I don't think you'll be stepping on Ray/Lee's toes, and I also didn't know about the new Tropica book OR of our inventory of the old one. Scott, did Diana give you a final tally of Tropica books?

cost of shipping books in quantity between them would make any sense.

Re-routing this to the AGA Board list in case I did something bad.

I e-mailed Diana about selling her book at the AGA table, seeing as how we
usually carry it in the bookstore, she is a speaker, and she is coming by
car so she can bring some with her. I also asked her about the Tropica
book. I am under the impression that Tropica has published a new version
and we still have inventory of the old version.

1. If Dave is allowed to sell books, will he be selling the new version of
the Tropica book? Should we still sell the Tropica stock that we have at a
deep discount? If so, how much?

2. Is any of this going to step on Ray's toes?

3. Have I done something bad?

If he wants to sell anything then he needs to get a table, period.
Everyone
else has had to and I see no reason to give him an exception. As far as
selling stuff out of his room, I view that as cheating of a sort and we
should discourage it. We can't stop him if he makes that choice, but
perhaps we can encourage the attendees to buy only from the vendors with
tables.

Just like that guy and his $20.00, it's a matter of principle. I don't
care
if we charge him $100.00 for the table, he has to get one. If all he
wants
to sell are books he's going to have some stiff competition from Ray.
He's
representing Lee Finley and no doubt he'll have some good picks.
Actually,
what about this? If Dave isn't interested in paying the full $250.00 we
charge him $150.00 and 5% of his sales?
