Hi Dave,I didn't realize that Erik had included the PAMs on the disk when I posted on APD. But I'd like to point out that if we end up NOT being able to include those issues on the AGA disk, it means that your good work and a lot of useful information will no longer be available to hobbyists going forward. That would be a shame.
I'm sure you are aware that AGA took a huge loss on the PAM deal. I know you did too, and I'm not complaining. I just want to point out that what Erik did, he did for the benefit of hobbyists, and for no other reason.

No, I'm done with this. I had hoped that including the two out-of-print PAMs in the disk and referencing the covers & contents in our online index would help generate more interest and help us sell a few more of the thousands of copies of PAM left in Karen's, Scott's and Cheryl's basements. I mistakenly thought the AGA had rights to do what we wanted with the magazine. I don't want to negotiate this -- either we are allowed to do it or we aren't. The AGA has already lost too much money on PAM to negotiate another deal. I made a mistake, and I will fix it. I am exorcising all references to PAM in the master disks for the archive, and in the online index. It's just not worth it.- Erik On Mon, 21 Feb 2005, Dave Gomberg wrote:Let's negotiate this when the baby has arrived and all are well. Thanks for bringing it up in a public forum. If I have overstepped our bounds, then I apologize, and I will remove all references to PAM on any further disks we make available to our membership.I don't have time to get in an argument/negotiation with you over this, as I have a kid due any day now, and I will disappear from all contact with the world for a month or more.- Erik On Mon, 21 Feb 2005, Dave Gomberg wrote:At 08:04 2/21/2005, Erik wrote:The deal with the AGA disk is that we're offering only material that hasbeen "out of print", i.e., not available in paper form, for quite some time.
